Group Meeting: Our book challenge is off to a great start. We have had a few children return their reading papers already. If you need another reading paper, let us know. We'd be happy to put one in your child's cubbie to take home.
Small Groups: Our Let's Find Out Magazine was about caterpillars and butterflies. We watched a video which taught us the word metamorphosis. We watched the process of a caterpillar becoming a butterfly.
Story: The author/illustrator for this week is Lois Ehlert. She created the book Waiting for Wings which tells the story of a caterpillar becoming a butterly. The pictures in this book are beautiful. Ask your child to tell you why flowers smell so pretty.
Large Group: The Green Group brought items for Show and Tell.
Letter Learning: The letter for today was Aa.
Snacks: The morning class had Teddy Grahams, cheese sticks and milk brought by Jackson. The afternoon class had pancakes and juice brought by Kinley. Thank you, Jackson and Kinley!
The children have notes in their bags about the last day of school. I know it's a little early, but we need to plan ahead for this special day!
