Group Meeting:  The author/illustrator for this week is Mo Willems.  A note is going home today with information about this author.  As of today, the preschool children have read 550 books!  That's amazing!

Small Groups:  The activities for this week are listed below as well as the schedule for today.
Activity #1 (Green Group)The children drew the faces that will be printed on the class T-shirt.  They practiced first as we have to use a permanent marker for this activity.
Activity #2 (Red Group)  The children are working on a special art activity for the Art Show that is coming up at the end of the month. 
Activity #3  (Yellow Group)  The children played a game to go with our story for today.  The story was Duckling Gets a Cookie!?  The children rolled a dice to move a cookie back and forth between Duckling and Pigeon. Who will get the cookie?

Story:  We read two Mo Willems stories today.  The first was at Group Meeting time.  We read Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus!  At the beginning of this story, a bus drivers asks the reader to watch his bus and make sure that the pigeon does not drive it.  Pigeon begs and pleads, but the children did not let him drive the bus.  At Story Time, we read Duckling Gets a Cookie!?  In this story, Pigeon's friend Duckling gets a cookie.  Pigeon is upset because he didn't get a cookie.  He pouts and whines about not getting a cookie until Duckling gives it to him.  Ask your child to tell you why Duckling gives Pigeon the cookie.

Large Group:  The children went to the Outdoor Classroom.

Letter Learning:  The letter for today was Ee.

Snacks:  The morning class had animal crackers and juice brought by Jai.  The afternoon class had bagels and juice brought by Landon.  Thank you, Jai and Landon!
