Group Meeting: February is Dental Health Month. Our Let's Find Out magazine was all about keeping your teeth healthy. It also shared information about losing baby teeth and getting your permanent teeth.
Small Groups: The children completed the last page of the Let's Find Out Magazine together as a class. Counting and printing numerals is still a challenge for a few, so we took our time to practice together.
Story: The story for today was a re-read. I read Go, Go, Go,Stop! by Charise Mericle Harper.
One day Little Green rolls into town and says his first word: "Go!" The
town is building a bridge, and now everyone has a job to do, from dump
truck to forklift. Little Green helps them do their jobs with gusto.
Until . . . there is a little too much gusto. They can go, go, go . . .
but how will they stop? Ask your child to tell you.
Large Group: The children in the morning class were visited by Carter's dad. Mr. Allen is a sign maker. He told us about making signs and had several samples to show us. Before he left, Mr. Allen traced our hands. He will take these back to his business and make a sign for us!
The children in the afternoon played the game Red Light, Green Light!
Letter Learning: The children in the morning class traced the letter Kk. The afternoon class learned about letter Pp.
Snacks: The snack for the morning class was Goldfish and juice brought by Josie. Thank you, Josie! The afternoon snack was Chex mix and juice.
