Farms!

Group Meeting:  We have started the last month of preschool!  On our ten frame chart, we counted that we have been in school for 115 days.  We have 13 left.  Wow, this school year is going by quickly. 

Small Groups:  Typically, we do our Let's Find Out Magazines on Thursday.  However, I have a busy day planned for us tomorrow, so we did the magazine today.  It was about Ladybugs.  Please take a few minutes to look through the magazine with your child.

Story:  Our story today was Big Bird Learns About the Farm.  Big Bird is at the Farmers Market.  He guesses that the food at the Farmers Market comes from the grocery store.  The children at the Farmers Market explain to him that all of the food that we eat comes from a farm.

Large Group:  The children drew pictures of their favorite foods.  After the children told us about their picture, we discussed where all of the food comes from.  This begins our study of farms.  For the next two weeks, we will be learning about farms.  A note is in your child's bag today with a list of my objectives for this study.

Snacks:  The morning class snack was cheese sticks, Teddy Grahams, and juice brought by Arlo.  The afternoon snack was Ritz Bitz with peanut butter and juice brought by Caden.  Thank you, Arlo and Caden!
