Group Meeting:   We used the Promethean board to listen to the story Ten Apples Up On Top by Dr. Seuss.  This is one Seuss book that I do not have, so I was happy to see a read along version on YouTube.

Small Groups:  After listening to the story Ten Apples Up On Top, the children completed a paper in which they used daubers to place the correct amount of apples on top of the dog, lion, and tiger's head.  To do so, they had to identify the numerals 1-10 and place the corresponding amount.

Story:  During story time, I read There's a Wocket in my Pocket by Dr. Seuss.  In this book, Dr. Seuss creates characters to rhyme with objects in the house.  There was a Wasket in the basket, a Nooth Grush on the tooth brush and a Yottle in the bottle.  After the story, we made up our own nonsense rhyming words.

Large Group:  The morning class used the parachute to do some gross motor activities.  The afternoon class went to the Outdoor Classroom.

Snacks:  The morning class had crackers, bread, peanut butter, jelly, and milk brought by Monroe and Noah.  The afternoon class had an assortment of sweet bread and juice brought by Asher.  Thank you, Monroe, Noah, and Asher!
