Group Meeting:  For Toy Tuesday, I demonstrated a new train set that we received.  The children were excited to take a turn to play with it if they chose.

Small Groups:  The activities for this week are listed in yesterday's blog.  The schedule for this afternoon was:

Story:  The story for today was The Valentine Bears by Eve Bunting.  Mr. and Mrs. Bear have never celebrated Valentines day.  They are usually hibernating.  This year, Mrs. Bear wants to surprise Mr. Bear by waking him up to Valentine treats.  However, Mr. Bear wants to keep sleeping.  Ask your child to tell you how Mrs. Bear gets Mr. Bear to wake up.

Large Group:  The children practiced a few songs that we will be singing at Senior Star on Thursday.

Letter Learning:  We are beginning the letters for the third time.  The letter for today was Bb.  The children printed the Bb on a paper and circled the letter Bbs that they found in the sentence that was printed below.  The paper should be in their bag today.

Snacks:  The snack for the afternoon class was Ritz crackers, cheese, and juice brought by Jeremiah.  Thank you, Jeremiah!
