Group Meeting: For our warm up movement activity today, we did Jack Hartman's Dance and Freeze. We thought it was appropriate with all of the ice outside today.
Small Groups: The activities for this week are listed in Monday's post. The schedule for today was:
Activity #1 Green Group
Activity #2 Red Group
Activity #3 Yellow Group
Story: The story for today was Estela's Swap by Alexis O'Neil. In this story, Estela is going to a swap meet with her dad. He attends every week to sell items that they no longer want or need. Estela is going to the swap meet to try to sell her music box. She will use the money to take dance lessons. A lady in the booth across from Estela is selling paper flowers and dancing skirts. A strong wind blows all of the lady's paper flowers away. Estela feels bad and offers to give the music box to the lady. Ask your child to tell you what Estela received as a swap.
Large Group: The morning class used the Stomp Boards to launch bean bags into the air for their partner to catch. The afternoon class looked at store signs on the Promethean board. The morning class viewed them yesterday.
Letter Learning: The letter for the morning class was Zz. The afternoon class is still on Yy. Tomorrow we should catch up.
Snacks: The snack for the morning class was cheese sticks, grapes, and milk brought by Emmett A. The afternoon class had waffles, bananas, and milk brought by Evelyn. Thank you, Emmett and Evelyn!
